Savings for Institutional Group Members
APS institutional group membership is a cost-saving option that ensures an entire division, department lab, research team or university access to the benefits of APS membership. Group members may also save an additional 5% off American Physiology Summit registration.

- Offer valid on regular and late registration rates only (no early-bird).
- Discount amount is 5% of individual “Member” registration rate.
- No refunds will be provided to those who registered at the early-bird rate.
Registration Category Descriptions
Regular member or nonmember includes staff, faculty, educators, researchers, lab technicians and other professionals. Honorary members are considered part of this category.
Emeritus member or retired nonmember includes those who have retired from an academic or other professional position and are over the age of 65.
Postdoctoral member or nonmember includes trainees and postdoctoral fellows who are working in physiology or a related field. Postdoctoral members may remain in this category for up to three years after they complete their terminal degree. This includes early-career memberships.
Student member or nonmember includes students currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate school or professional degree program who have not yet earned a doctoral degree. This includes postbaccalaureate memberships and high school students also fall into this category. After registration is complete, students are required to email a copy of their valid student ID showing current, full-time status to APSSummitEvents@physiology.org.
This category also includes those who have completed their baccalaureate degree within the past five years and have not yet entered a graduate program but have an interest in physiology.
What’s Included with Registration?
- All scientific programming, including eight game-changer sessions and 80 foundational science sessions.
- Most pre-conference events held on Thursday, April 24, 2025.
- The opening keynote on Thursday, April 24, at 4:15 p.m. and the closing keynote on Sunday, April 27, at 10:30 a.m.
- A welcome festival for all attendees on Thursday, April 24, at 5:45 p.m.
- Access to the PhysioHub, which contains exhibits, posters, the APS booth, networking lounges, learning stages and more. The PhysioHub will be open Friday, April 25, and Saturday, April 26, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Poster viewing receptions on Friday, April 25, and Saturday, April 26, from 5:15 to 7 p.m. in the PhysioHub.
Guest Policy
Attendees may choose to register up to three guests. Professional registrants are entitled to purchase up to three guest badges for $150 each. Guest badges provide access to the PhysioHub and session rooms, space permitting. Guests are invited to attend the Welcome Festival and evening poster receptions.
Guest badges are intended for use by a spouse, family member or friend of a professional registrant. To uphold the professional and educational standards of the American Physiology Summit, children under 16 years of age are not permitted in the exhibit halls or session rooms and are not eligible to receive a badge.
You may add a guest to your registration record at the time of registration, or you may log in to your Registration Resource Center after you have registered and add the guest(s) in order to pay with a different payment method.
Coworkers, industry associates and others working in the sciences are not eligible for a guest badge and must register as a professional and pay the applicable registration fee.
