The American Physiological Society (APS) Teaching of Physiology Section Mid-career Educator Award honors a mid-career member who demonstrates excellence in physiology education with innovative teaching or mentorship activities. This award is made possible by APS sponsor, Labfront

Eligibility

The applicant must:

  • Be an APS member with primary Teaching of Physiology Section affiliation. 
  • Have at least five years of teaching experience.   
Criteria

The application package includes:

  • Curriculum vitae. 
  • Statement on teaching methods and future goals.

The award recipient will be selected by members of the Teaching of Physiology Section Steering Committee. The award will be presented at the Section banquet during the American Physiology Summit. The recipient is expected to attend the banquet to receive the award. 

Applications with excess or incomplete materials, such as a nomination letter or a blank curriculum vitae, will not be considered.
