The American Physiological Society (APS) Neural Control and Autonomic Regulation Section (NCAR) is dedicated to promoting scientists interested in the role of the autonomic nervous system in mediating a myriad of physiological and pathological conditions. We support numerous trainee awards to promote their careers and collaborations with established NCAR members. We encourage younger APS members to join us in the hopes that future research efforts will better address the many disorders of the autonomic nervous system that affect so many in our society.
“As Neural Control & Autonomic Regulation (NCAR) Section chair in this new APS era, I am eager to leverage my experience to work collaboratively with section members, other APS sections and the broader APS leadership. My goal is to sustain, advance and expand NCAR's membership on both national and international fronts while enhancing its scientific influence within the APS community, especially at the annual Summit meetings. Additionally, I aim to help guide and further develop the annual meeting NCAR programming, emphasizing cutting-edge science from our diverse global membership. I look forward to working with this outstanding society and membership.”
