The APS Environmental & Exercise Physiology (EEP) Section organizes and promotes interactions among APS members—especially for trainees and young investigators—who are interested in environmental, exercise and thermal physiology research. The Section aims to advance programming for the American Physiology Summit, offer numerous awards that enhance membership activity and visibility and ensure EEP Section representation throughout APS. The EEP Section is the premier group for anyone interested in integrative physiology.

"The American Physiological Society (APS), coupled with the Environmental & Exercise Physiology (EEP) Section, is my scientific home. I started attending the national-level meeting in earnest as a brand-new assistant professor, and when I reflect on this stage, this was a mission critical step for my career. At one of these first meetings, a good friend told me "You need to go to the EEP business meeting." I VERY quickly learned this was the place to be and where I could begin really growing my network. The EEP Section is near and dear to my heart and offers many individuals ways to grow that may be difficult to do in other societies or even your own institution. The EEP Section is highly dedicated to our trainees and aims to foster the strongest relationships between mid-career/established members and our trainees. It is an absolute privilege to serve the EEP Section as chair. I am excited by the possibilities EEP's future has in store, as well as the opportunity to work closely with many individuals whose passion is physiology."
